Business Development Lead

  • Kuulutus

Analytical Alley is a commercial analytics consultancy helping Scandinavian and Baltic brands turn their data into better business decisions from marketing mix modelling (MMM) to broader business intelligence and commercial analytics solutions. We are hiring Business Development Lead to grow our client base and help to develop the product further based on the needs of the clients.

This is a senior, hands-on and independent role. You will build our pipeline from scratch, set up the system that runs it, feed market insight into how we develop our services, and shape how we present our work to marketing operations, finance and business IT development leaders. We sell trust and long-term partnerships, not one-off engagements.

What you’ll do

Build and run the pipeline

  • Identify and approach B2C brands in Scandinavia and Europe, where better commercial analytics and business intelligence can make a difference.
  • Open conversations with marketing operations, finance and business IT development stakeholders through targeted, consultative outreach.
  • Qualify leads and move them through a long, multi-stakeholder sales cycle to signed, long-term partnerships.
  • Work closely with the partners on proposals and closing, and help first projects grow into lasting client relationships.

Own the revenue operations

  • Set up and maintain our CRM, outreach sequences and pipeline stages.
  • Track and report pipeline health, conversion and forecast.

Shape our messaging and sales assets

  • Sharpen how we describe the value of our analytics solutions: from MMM to business intelligence, so buyers grasp it quickly.
  • Create and maintain case studies, decks, one-pagers and other sales material.
  • Contribute to thought leadership that builds our credibility in the market.
  • Finding, presenting and introducing Analytical Alley through presentations in conferences and other events

Bring market insight into our services

  • Gather insights from prospects, clients and the wider market on their needs and pain points.
  • Share these insights with the team and have a real say in how we develop our products and services to meet them.
  • Spot new opportunities and gaps in our offer that could become future services.

What success looks like in year one

  • Roughly 15–20 engagements, with clients set up for ongoing, repeat work.
  • A steady flow of qualified leads and a pipeline that is visible and forecastable.
  • A working CRM and pipeline process that the team trusts.
  • A refreshed set of sales assets and case studies that make our offer easier to buy.

Requirements
Must-haves

  • 3+ years in B2B business development, sales development or consultative sales.
  • A track record of building pipeline and hitting targets so you can show the numbers.
  • Hands-on experience owning a CRM and pipeline process, not just using one.
  • Strong writing: you can turn technical, analytical work into clear messaging and sales material.
  • Comfortable selling to marketing operations, finance and business IT development stakeholders.
  • Commercial curiosity: you pick up what clients really need and turn it into clear input for product and service development.
  • Works independently: you build the system yourself rather than waiting for one.
  • Fluent English (required).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience selling services, consulting or analytics rather than only software.
  • Understanding of business intelligence, commercial analytics or marketing measurement (e.g. MMM).
  • A network among B2C brands in the Nordics or Europe.
  • Any Scandinavian or Baltic language.
  • Experience with outreach and RevOps tools (e.g. HubSpot, Pipedrive, sequencing tools).

What we offer

  • A fixed retainer plus a clear, layered performance fee: you earn as leads are created, as they progress, and as projects are signed and running.
  • Real ownership: you build our business development function from the ground up.
  • Direct work with the partners and a say in how the company presents itself.
  • A data-driven offer built on long-term client partnerships, not one-off projects.
